WELCOME TO EXMOOR FARM COTTAGES
Exmoor Farm Cottages are located on Combeleigh Farm, a small working farm situated on the south side of Dunkery Beacon looking out toward Windsford Hill. We have just converted two of the farm barns to small but well appointed holiday lets. 'Swallows Nest' has one bedroom and the second, 'Stags View' has two bedrooms. Swallows Nest is perfect for a couple or two friends as the bedroom can be converted to either a double or twin occupancy. Stags View, slightly larger has two bedrooms, again these can be converted for twin or double occupancy.
The location of the farm, in the center of Exmoor National Park, is ideal for all those wishing to undertake both country and water activities. Well behaved dogs are always welcome. The situation is perfect for exploring the best of Exmoor flora and fauna, either on foot with or without your canine companions, by horse back or by bicycle. Exmoor's miles of tracks and bridleways offer a wealth of diversity from easily accessible beauty to extreme physical challenges.
If playing around on water is more your sport we are close to Wimbleball lake and also the coast of the river Severn. Fishing for trout is available on Wimbleball lake, some river fishing close by can also be found and day boat hire for sea fishing can be located in Minehead, full details found on Exmoor page.
Exmoor has recently been pronounced as a 'dark sky' area allowing star gazing if this is your fancy.
Alternatively, if you just want peace and tranquility while looking at beautiful views, we also offer this. Some excellent restaurants are located close by so you won't have to worry about cooking unless you wish.
Although the property is very private it is less than two miles from the village of Wheddon Cross which has a petrol station, amenity shop plus pub which serves both midday and evening meals seven days a week.
Open moorland is just half a mile from the farm boundary at Dunkery Hill Gate.
